Ecoegg Review

Ecoegg

Ecoegg was born out pof the lack of alternatives to chemical laden laundry products that were kind to skin as well as being natural and effective.By harnessing the power of nature they hatched their first ever product, the Ecoegg Laundry Egg and ever since they haven't looked back!

Ecoegg Laundry Products Review.

With myself, my partner and our 5 children our washing machine is always on the go at least once if not twice a day, added on top of this the fact that two of our children have special needs,my 7 year old is not dry at night and my 3 1/2 year old is reliant on nappies 24-7. Also on top of this I'm very cautious about the amount of chemicals that get used as both myself and our two sons both have eczema so we need to use products that are gentle on the skin.

Onto the testing:

The Laundry Egg RRP £7.99-£19.99(depending on the number of washes you are after) we received the 210 washes one which would cost £9.99

Available in 3 fragrances:

  • Fragrance Free
  • Soft Cotton
  • Spring Blossom
The Eco egg literally is used instead of your normal washing powder(it is also safe to use alongside fabric softener)Just fill the egg with the washing pellets(included) Pop into the drum on top of your clothes set the washing machine-up to 60°C and then let it do its normal cycle while you carry on with other jobs.

I love the Ecoegg and one of the main reasons why is because it contains no chemicals the fragrance free version has even been approved by the National Eczema Society and Allergy UK it has also gained Gold in the Prima baby & pregnancy awards 2014.

The results:

Brilliant on colours, not so much on whites which tend to be worse especially around school shirt collars and on the socks this was even after using the Stain Remover which i found great when it was used right away but obviously i cant be there 24/7 to rub on the kids clothes while at school. I also used alongside fabric softener as i noticed how there was no scent on the clothes after washing which i really like. you will need to replace the pellets every 50 washes(roughly) however they are good value for money and it is cost effective with the amount you save. i have continued to use the Egoegg as i do love it however i use my normal detergent for the whites.

You can buy online from the Ecoegg website or from a selection of retailers including: Tesco,Argos,Amazon and Homebase to name but a few.

Santa Maria Review And Giveaway

Santa Maria

Great tastes from destinations near and far. Discovery Foods was founded in the late 1980's by well traveled entrepreneur and passionate foodie,James Beaton. His philosophy was to deliver excellent products and service to all customers and suppliers. In 2009 Discovery Foods was acquired by the Swedish company Santa Maria and is now called Santa Maria UK.

I have very kindly been sent some Santa Maria products for my family to test and enjoy i received:
  • Enchilada Kit
  • Fajita Kit
  • Some Steak Pepper
  • Thai Wok

We love trying new foods and even though our sons who both have issue around food and textures due to their special needs currently wont try new things we feel its really good that they get the chance to touch or see us trying and enjoying new foods and hopefully as a result in time will also try something.

Each kit comes with pretty much all of the items needed the only thing you need to buy are the fresh bits such as chicken, peppers ect. We tried the Fajita one first, really easy to follow instructions on the back of the pack, quick to set up and prepare, anyone that knows me knows that i cant cook for the life of me so to have a step by step guide really helps. and my kids feedback?.... They loved them the only thing they asked is that i put less salsa in it next. We followed up the fajita with the Enchilada kit to be honest as nice as it was this wasn't a big hit with the kids for some reason i think mainly they wasn't too keen on the cheese on top as they are not big cheese eaters but overall we enjoyed it. My personal fave was the Steak pepper i normally don't like pepper so was very skeptical at first however i found it put just enough of a zing to the meat to make it more tasty and mouth watering and i certainly plain to keep on using and buying this product. The only one we still have yet to try is the Thai Wok if i'm honest i'm still trying to find a way of using/cooking into in to a meal.

Final Thoughts:

Love Love Love Love!! so tasty we would recommend to any food lovers and those wanting to broaden their food cupboards/diets. we cant wait to try out more!.
