Ecoegg was born out pof the lack of alternatives to chemical laden laundry products that were kind to skin as well as being natural and effective.By harnessing the power of nature they hatched their first ever product, the Ecoegg Laundry Egg and ever since they haven't looked back!
Ecoegg Laundry Products Review.
With myself, my partner and our 5 children our washing machine is always on the go at least once if not twice a day, added on top of this the fact that two of our children have special needs,my 7 year old is not dry at night and my 3 1/2 year old is reliant on nappies 24-7. Also on top of this I'm very cautious about the amount of chemicals that get used as both myself and our two sons both have eczema so we need to use products that are gentle on the skin.
Onto the testing:
The Laundry Egg RRP £7.99-£19.99(depending on the number of washes you are after) we received the 210 washes one which would cost £9.99
Available in 3 fragrances:
- Fragrance Free
- Soft Cotton
- Spring Blossom
The Eco egg literally is used instead of your normal washing powder(it is also safe to use alongside fabric softener)Just fill the egg with the washing pellets(included) Pop into the drum on top of your clothes set the washing machine-up to 60°C and then let it do its normal cycle while you carry on with other jobs.
I love the Ecoegg and one of the main reasons why is because it contains no chemicals the fragrance free version has even been approved by the National Eczema Society and Allergy UK it has also gained Gold in the Prima baby & pregnancy awards 2014.
The results:
Brilliant on colours, not so much on whites which tend to be worse especially around school shirt collars and on the socks this was even after using the Stain Remover which i found great when it was used right away but obviously i cant be there 24/7 to rub on the kids clothes while at school. I also used alongside fabric softener as i noticed how there was no scent on the clothes after washing which i really like. you will need to replace the pellets every 50 washes(roughly) however they are good value for money and it is cost effective with the amount you save. i have continued to use the Egoegg as i do love it however i use my normal detergent for the whites.
You can buy online from the Ecoegg website or from a selection of retailers including: Tesco,Argos,Amazon and Homebase to name but a few.
