Now as i mentioned above i had previously received a sample which my 2 year old was lucky enough to test them and she absolutely loved it straight away asking for the second piece.unfortunatly she asked for more the next day and got really upset when i had to explain that they were all gone.Also my 4 year old was upset he saw the packet in the cuboard and i think he hoped he could get one as once he arrived from school he asked then got upset when he knew his sister had already had them.


And then along came my offer to review them! and when they arrived and my kids saw what was in the box both of their faces lit up.
Needless to say they wanted one straight away and both loved every minute of it.


My thoughts:


Great healthy snack for at home or on the go,as snacks go as mess free as you could ask for with kids,left no sticky residue on their hands!.

My thoughts:

I have always struggled to find food and snack for my 1 year old as he tends to gag on most,he is being kept an eye on for this he has recently started improving but still does it on occasion especially on hard things like biscuits.
I was looking forward to trying the Baby Mum-Mum's as they say that they dissolve in your babys mouth which would be great for my son.


Onto the testing:


i placed the biscuit in my sons hand and he looked dubiously at it,i think this is down to his previous experiences.
He refused to put into his mouth so i helped by guiding his hand up so it touched his lips,out popped his tongue as he tasted it his 1st reaction was his to widen his eyes open his mouth wide and try ramming it all in!
so a good sign i reckon i kept an eye as he munched his way right through,not only did he love it but he didn't choke/gag once.
I was also very impressed by how mess-free they were again like the toddler version they left no sticky residue even with baby dribbling a little bit out,they were so easy to clean up of my son.Since receiving my son has already finished off 2 boxes and between them my older 2 have eaten 3 1/2 boxes they just cant get enough!.

These 2 pictures were taken 30 minutes after him waking in pain from teething only the Mum-Mum's help soothe him.

Overall thoughts:

• Great for home or on the go
• Mess-free
• Perfect size to fit in change bag
• Comes with 2 sealed in a little foil bag to help retain the flavor/freshness
• Also great for teething baby's.
• Would and have already recommended to friends for their little ones.

As you can see we still have plenty of boxes left :)

Content and calm Cot Canopy Breeze and Protecti Shade Buggy review

I could not believe it when i was given the opportunity to review for Content and Calm i absolutely love their products!
I was sent to test and review the Cot Canopy Breeze and the Protecti-Shade.


First up the Protecti-Shade:


This clever mesh creates shade while still allowing you to see in to check on your baby and with its simple ties and compact travel bag you will never be caught out again.

My thoughts:

The ProtectiShade Buggy came very nicely packaged with great pictures and details on the cardboard insert.

Upon removing i loved how neat it all looked the carry bag i especially loved the lime green colour gave it a very fresh look,i also could not get over how small and slim it looked.

Onto the testing:

firstly i tried it on my Mookie quicksmart, i did struggle at first mainly as i couldnt get it to stay up it kept dragging on the floor so i emailed the marketing director for advice who explained how there was 2 side straps that you can attch to either the top or bottom of the pushchair handles to left the bottom up i was very glad of her kind help and did as she mentioned and yes it worked a treat.

I then went on to use it on my britax b-dual and it worked even better i didnt need to adjust it i never used the side straps when my son was facing me as i had nowhere bar wise to attach them i just tied behind the seat unit it still worked really well and caused no problems.

Now i know it has been designed to fit on doubles as well however i dont have one  i did use it when my 2nd seat was attatched but it never covered the 2nd seat properly(this i hope is something maybe to be considered for tandem buggy users in future i hope especially if based at a good price as this one is £9.99 i would say £15-£20 would be a reasonable selling price,if there was one now i for one would buy it).

i love the Protectishade buggy it is small,convieniant and best of all it works! my son slept a dream whenever i used it.

Now onto the Cot Canopy Breeze:

My thoughts:

I was really excited to be receiving this product,my 4 year old is autistic and my 1 year old worryingly is showing alot of similar signs as his older brother one of them being sleep!

He just will not sleep it makes no differance whether during daytime or night time he will literally scream till hes gasping for breath or is sick,we have tried numerous sleep techniques all without success.

So im putting all my hopes into the Cot Canopy,fingers crossed!

Day one,setting up i found this really easy i had to stand in the middle to find the center but apart from that it was a piece of cake to attach which i found pleasantly suprising.

I applied it to my sons travel cot it fit nicely,i tucked the little bit of excess material underneath the cot out of site.

Once it was my sons naptime i placed him in and instantly instead of crying he was looking around him and started babbling and laughing and playing with his cuski blanket,a big change from his usual reaction.Next up bedtime, In he pops again for first 5 minutes he seemed happy then his normal screaming resumed-o dear! i think hes realised what time it is and he is having none of it!.

On day 2 he again loved being in his Cot Canopy and come bedtime? if was fine! a few minutes of grizzling but i zipped him semi up and after another 5 minutes he passed out and stayed that way till 6am no screaming and no 2 or 3 mid morning wake ups bliss i think i had actually forgotten what a good night sleep was.

And from there on in set the pattern and a few weeks later he is still happy to sleep in his bed he even plays happily at night times now too as soon as i put him in he laughs before playing.and i for one could not be happier.

Now it says it is suitable for 3 years + so i tried my 2 1/2 year old in it,she really liked it however it became a game for her to keep zipping and unzipping it and if you tried to stop her she would throw a paddy and try pulling it down from the center so after trying on a few occasions i gave up with her.

My final thoughts:

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

i would definatly recommend and at £59.99 its a steal! i really cannot fault it the only thing i will say is personally i think its more suitable for 0-2 years

otherwise i have a happier son as hes getting a good nights sleep and mummy has soo much energy as a result of more sleep too.

I have been given the opportunity to review a range of their items here is what i thought:


Training cup

• Suitable for 12 months+
• All parts are interchangeable
• Holes in lid control the liquid flow
• BPA/PVC/Phthalate free
• Slow flow.
• 260ml

My thoughts:

1. It is very cleverly designed
2. Not as much mess involved as the small holes restrict how much can come out at once
3. Great idea for moving a baby from a bottle straight onto a cup
4. Also a really good and easy to use cup for older toddlers/young children.

Now with my 4 year old son his coordination is not very great so usually when drinking the contents of his cup go everywhere apart from in his mouth!

with the OXO training cup i have noticed that he has hardly spilt a drop and on the one occasion he did it was very minimal due to the unique holes at the top.

My 2 year old has also had no problems she has only used 1 other cup and that was a nightmare but this one was a breeze,big thumbs up from us.

Divided feeding plate

•  Removable ring
• Suitable for 6months+
• Plate divided into recommended portions designed for proteins,vegetables and grains

My thoughts:

1. Good size
2. Helpful as a guide to how much of what food groups your child should be eating.
3. Easy to clean

Straight away my daughter couldn't wait to use her new plate,she even helped me dish her dinner up which seeing as she has recently become a picky eater who just don't seem interested in food.

It has not only helped her become more interested again but also more willing to eat more as i am now putting the correct amount on the plate which is about half of what i was giving her.

Also works well for a few snack/supper like the above picture.

Divided feeding dish

• Suitable for 6months+
• Removable ring and lid
• Non slip base
• £8.17

Specially contoured feeding dish is comfortable in the hand for a secure grip while feeding.


My thoughts:

1. Love the seperated partitions so you can keep dinner/pudding seperate
2. Again really easy to clean
3. Love how the edge of the ring is curved as its great or scraping off any excess food.

I really like how easy to use this feeding dish is,its really comfortable to the touch and generally to hold. the removable ring and lid make it really easy to clean and also very versatile with how you decide to use it. i like how the lid just clips  on so once you have finished feeding your/in my case my baby you can pop on and put in your changing bag without worrying about any mess that can happen.

The only downside to the feeding dish is that its not very deep its great for when you are just starting out but although my son still eats lots of pureed food he has now starting eating the whole jar(stage 2) and as such it fills one section right to the brim,the same for his dessert so they keep overlapping and blending together which obiously cant taste very pleasant to my son.

The only way around this was to only put half of each in then the 2nd half which is a pain.

I feel if it was just 1 inch deeper this could be avoided.

However all in all this is still a great product.

Fliptop snack cup.

• Suitable for 12months+

perfect shape and size for on the go eating.

My thoughts:

1. Small and compact
2. Great for on the go
3. Even though its small its large enough to hold your toddlers snacks

I have always used my daughters munchkin snack catcher and absolutely love it however my daughter is now 2 1/2 and so i feel now needs something more grown up yet still useful and easy for on the go.
Along came the snack cup,again love the sleek design,i found it was deep enough to store my daughters snacks in yet small enough to fit into the changing bag,if im honest i prefered its slimmer design as it took up less room.
My daughter manged to use it easily and seemed to like her big girl snack cup and every time we go out will request it.She did have trouble opening the lid but i think i prefer this as it mean no unwanted food falling out without her being supervised.
admittedly if she dropped it then everything will tend to fall out but being that bit older the likelihood of this happening is not very high anyway.
